Chihiro
by oqodo · beta
Chihiro watches the Claude Code sessions on your Mac and briefs you about them out loud, on your phone or your Mac, so you can steer several at once without reading terminal output. You reply by voice; it relays.
What you need
- A Mac with Claude Code installed and logged in.
- Tailscale on the Mac, and on your iPhone if you use the phone app.
- An API key for OpenAI, Gemini or ElevenLabs, for Chihiro's voice (or a speech model you run).
- The Chihiro app from TestFlight: your invite email has the link.
Install the daemon
In Terminal. This puts one signed, Apple-notarized file in ~/.local/bin and starts the setup.
mkdir -p ~/.local/bin && \ curl -fL https://download.chihiro.fun/chihiro/chihiro-0.1.0-beta.3-macos.tar.gz \ | tar -xz -C ~/.local/bin && \ ~/.local/bin/chihiro setup
chihiro setup takes a few minutes. It checks Claude Code, installs the hooks Chihiro
listens with, asks which voice to use and tests it, starts the daemon at login, and finishes with a
pairing code for the app.
Pair the app
- Open Chihiro on your iPhone or Mac.
- Scan the QR code
chihiro setupshowed, or type its short code. Runchihiro pairany time for a new one. - For notifications, run the invite command you were sent:
chihiro relay enroll <invite>.
Then
Work in Claude Code as usual. When a session finishes a turn, Chihiro tells you what happened. Hold the talk button to answer it. Feedback goes through TestFlight, or to the person who invited you.
